the 21 th europ.rainbow family gathering in France 20.7. - 22.8.2003
after many telefone-calls to france and spain to know more about this years rainbow
gathering louise from the dordogne community and gerard told me that today there is a
meeting in the place of akim (near montpellier, the exact place I do not know/ contact akim;
06-23783970) to decide about the site where they have a possibility to choose between the
larzac (do you know the real story of "the man who planted trees", a fantastic story about
Larzac/ this region is south of Lion and has scarse water ressources, and the pyrenees oriental ( LAC DES BOUILLOUSES/ directin Andorra/ nearest city Font Romeu/carte Michelin 1:200 000 Nr. 86/ many lakes/ mountains up to 3000 m)
a place in 1800 meters ( but as Laos my friend in the pyrenees told me in this time
very touristic. anyway more informations after Monday!!!
BE PREPAIRED TO BRING SHOVEL AND PICS, AX AND FOOD FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS USEFUL THINGS TO BUILD A MAIN KITCHEN, SHITTERS, THE WELCOME CENTER, CHILDRENS KITCHEN AND PLAYING AREA, BE PREPARED TO FORM PEACE AND HUG PATROOLS AND MEDIATION GROUPS (also french speaking womans with children who knows the rainbow family story)WHO CAN HANDLE WITH FRENCH AUTHORITIES, SPEAK FRIENDLY TO PEOPLE DO NOT MAKE WILD CAMPINGS ELSEWHERE OUTSIDE THE RAINBOW SITE, HAVE ONLY COMMON FIRES (THERE IS FIRE DANGERS)
But Laos told me also that they found an alternative on the spanish side of the not anymore
existing border with huge field where is a quite big river the directions he will fax me today
and after monday we will to have it decided.
i was reading the message boards on the french site ( see under Links) and had the impression
that good people left and other people havn't united and didn't got an information for a
scouting out. about this I am a littlebit sad. WE WILL GATRHER anyway.
the informations about the place this year are very late so even we have to distribute infos via ShortMessageService (SMS/cellularphones) and eMail, by sending printed invitations it is too late.
